Lisa Hendrickson-Jack is the host of the Fertility Friday Podcast and she’s going to teach us how to tell when you’re ovulating. She is a Fertility Awareness Educator, Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner and author of newly released book The Fifth Vital Sign.
When she was a teenager, Lisa used the pill to cope with incredibly heavy bleeding and excruciating period pain. After doing her own set of research to understand some of the fundamental truths about when she was or was not fertile, she decided to come off the pill at 18. This decision and her dedication to understanding the menstrual cycle set her on the path that led her to creating a podcast and writing a book on the subject.
Her mission is to empower women to understand their own fertility, enabling women to chart their menstrual cycles naturally. When women are in touch with their own cycles and bodies, they can use this information to develop strategies for birth control and pregnancy.
Understand Natural Body Signs
In this episode, Lisa shares with us practical lessons on how to understand our own body signs. Learn how to chart your own cycle. Hear how important it is to listen to what your menstrual cycle indicates for your wider health overall. For example, if your period doesn’t return ~ 18 months after having a baby, that’s a sign that something may be wrong, and it is a good time to have a medical professional help investigate.
